CREATING PORTRAITS. CAPTURING MOMENTS

Why Sandy Woodard Photography?

The process of creating portraits and capturing moments can be tedious or it can be fun. Sandy Woodard Photography strives to create a relaxing environment where, you can be you, and the end result provides memories you can share now and with the next generation.

Thank you for visiting my site! Portrait photography is where 95%+ of my photography time is spent. From High School Seniors to Pre-School Portraits, Family Sessions, and Teens, Tweens, and Kids, I enjoy creating special moments with all of these groups. I encourage bringing items that identify who you are, such as sports equipment, uniforms, books, vehicles, etc. It is your identity, after all, that we are charged with capturing. I enjoy travelling to locations that mean something to you such as your home, school, local ballparks, play parks, or state parks. I enjoy the outdoors and love photographing in these environments. Lastly, I also photograph professionals. If you need head shots, a photo layout, or branding, this is where you need to be.

I am flexible, love listening to and discussing your ideas, and my desire is to capture the memory of you in a beautiful and natural way that you will love sharing with the world.

How it Works.

Once you contact me, you will be given a complimentary pre-session consultation. I want to have a conversation with you. This may be either on the phone, over email, or in an agreed upon location. We will discuss the session types available to be sure I deliver the experience you are seeking. This will include your vision, goals, and expected outcomes for the session. We will review the products available to you including heirloom wall art so you can begin to think about and make decisions on what you want and need for your home.

During this session we will identify date possibilities for booking your photo session. You will receive an online questionnaire when you book. This questionnaire will allow me to understand how I can best customize your session. There will be continuing communication prior to your session. I will provide you with tips on how to dress, including color combinations, specifically for family groups. I encourage you to text me photos of your outfits and I will give you feedback and/or suggestions.

1 to 2 weeks after your session, you will have your ordering appointment either in person or online, and I will help you choose your favorite images and then choose from a wide variety of products to accent your home with original portrait art. Digital orders take 2-3 weeks. Product orders take anywhere from 3-6 weeks. You will enjoy them for generations!

Who am I?

I love to read, but these days find little time to do so. I love puzzles, spending time with family, baking, attending church, and relaxing on the front porch. I believe everyone should have a front porch. I am currently attempting to train my husband's dog. We also have a cat. Both are outside pets. My first career was in retail management. This career allowed me to live in and travel throughout the U.S. I was also able to visit Germany through my job responsibilities.

In 2016 my niece reminded me of my love for photography. I began to get serious, taking classes, learning, and working on my certification as a professional photographer. All the while, working with some awesome individuals who allowed me the pleasure of photographing and capturing their moments.

I love quotes and in my previous career had a "Quote of the Day" distribution that touch individuals in 8 or 9 countries, that I know of, around the globe. The quote which is currently my favorite is: "Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence." Vince Lombardi

My favorite verse is: Isaiah 1:10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."kjv

“"Sandy did an excellent job on my son's senior portraits. It's not easy getting a teenage boy to smile, but she knew exactly how to do it. We absolutely love his pictures and have received lots of compliments on them. We will definitely use Sandy again in the future.”
